National Spirit Hurdle 2010 Next Running: 15:35 Sunday February 28th, 2010
David Pipe's Lough Derg will be bidding for his third victory in the Grade 2 National Spirit Hurdle on Sunday at Fontwell.
This very popular ten year old has won for the past two years and is renowned for giving his all on occasions when all looks lost but it has to be said that this time around he looks to be on the down finishing way down the field at Sandown and Haydock on recent outings. Something very special will have to be pulled out of the bag if he is to raise the roof in 2010.
Qozak goes for Paul Nicholls while seven year old Souffleur is saddled by Peter Bowen and tasted success recently winning at Haydock after a lengthy time without a win.
Alan King runs Trenchant who looked out of sorts at Sandown last time out at the begining of the month finsihing way down the field, Nicky Henderson has the well fancied Afsoun while Jonjo O'Neill runs Sway.
Golan Way and Treaty Flyer complete the field.
