Kingmaker Novices Chase 2010 Next Running: 14:15 Warwick - Sat February 13th, 2010
Nicky Henderson's French recuit Long Run impressed on his British Debut back in December at Kempton to take the three mile Feltham Novice Chase and come Saturday he will be speeding the proceedings up when he attempts two miles in the Kingmaker Novices Chase at Warwick.
An unusual move but Henderson has been so impresssed by the speed that this five year old can display he has decided to follow his hunch and give him a go. It is a hunch that could well give connections a big decision to make regarding Cheltenham in March.
Paul Nicholls saddles Take The Breeze, a great hurdler who showed promise when winning his chase debut in November.
After making it three from three his last run at Leopardstown saw him struggle a tad more and had to settle for third best. However he has to be considered Long Runs main challenger here and is the one who could make this race be more than just a walk in the park for the favourite.
Nigel Twiston Davies has Pigeon Island while King Edmund, and Joe Jo Star complete the field.
