Multiple grade one winner Twist Magic goes to Ascot on Saturday as the favourite to win the 2010 Victor Chandler Chase. Trained by Paul Nicholls this eight year old came runner up here in 2008 but the way he performed when scoring in the recent Tingle Creek last time out suggests that he is on target to go one better this year.

Although he will be hard to beat, Twist Magic is not likely to get things all his own way on Saturday, he will have to work hard if he is he is to sparkle with some stong competition from the likes of Nicky Henderson's Petit Robin who came runner up last year and beat Well Chief on his last successful outing in the Desert Orchid Chase.

Fragile Well Chief continues to impress, he won this race in 2005 and looked hot property when winnning the Connaught Chase back in November. He has since been thereabouts in his last two runs but will need to revert back to his Connaught Chase form if he is to stand any chance of arriving home first here.

Cornas, trained by Nick Williams is an interesting prospect, he is thought of very highly at home but has he got what it takes to beat the big boys? Well his trainer has to be respected, he must be working spot on at home and could well be worth a small wager.

Fix The Rib, Kinkeel, Lennon and Oh Crick complete the field.
