Distance: 6f The Golden Jubilee Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race for three-year-old and above thoroughbreds and is part of the Royal Ascot meeting in June. It was first run in 1868 (then known as the Cork and Orrery Stakes as it was named after the 9th Earl of Cork & 9th Earl of Orrery). The race kept this name until 2002, when it became a Group 1 and was re-named to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. |
